Drafted diverse digital/social media content. Managed all account services for a top-tier investment association; cultivated its Twitter community.

Corporate / Inhouse

  • Distribution: CIBC Wood Gundy. Led communications team supporting the full-service and online brokerage businesses. Planned, managed content calendar, creation for two websites and an intranet. Wrote digital/interactive user content. Entirely redeveloped comprehensive regulatory policy governing broker marketing.

  • Product: Trimark Investment Management & AIM Funds Management Inc. Led, managed communications/editorial function; inaugurated, grew standalone market research unit. Guided, edited and/or wrote all marketing materials. Managed PR function for ~1.5 years. Edited corporate annual reports. Representative to industry research initiative under auspices of CSA/OSC. Led, managed creation of IABC award-winning style manual, advisor and investor newsletters. Produced company’s first issues management and crisis communications plans and communications working process notes.

Public Sector

  • Government Agency: Ontario Power Authority. Public affairs advisor and media relations counsel/support for Ontario’s Chief Energy Conservation Officer. Led stakeholder engagement to support conservation program development. Devised concept plan for, provided editorial/outreach support for first provincewide Energy Conservation Week public education campaign, an IABC Gold Quill multi-audience communications finalist. Communications designate to organization’s ERM team.

  • Government: Cabinet Office – Corporate Issues. Monitored, analysed contentious issues affecting seven ministries; prepared timely synopses; delivered briefings. Most active: Energy, Health, Finance. Supported Premier’s PA for his appearance before the estimates committee: drafted remarks, Q&A, messages; preparatory coaching. Created case scenario for and undertook Cabinet Office staff issues management training.
